Cabrini Pain Management Center offers all of the resources and therapies of a major medical center with the patient care and compassion that comes from a private practice setting.

By using a multidisciplinary approach to treat our patients, our board certified physicians in pain management use the integration of medication management, minimally invasive procedures, rehabilitation therapy, surgery, alternative medicine, stress reduction, and counseling to achieve a rapid reduction in pain and prompt return to regular activities.

The services provided include advanced consultation and management of the following: pain from chronic illness, arthritis pain, headaches, facial pain, neck & back pain, spinal stenosis, postlaminectomy syndrome, disc herniation, facet joint degeneration, spinal spasticity & pain, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, cancer pain, neuropathies, occupational & accidental injuries, and HIV-related pain syndromes.

We offer all of the traditional pain management blocks and procedures under flouroscopic and CT guidance, which improves the accuracy and decreases the risk of the procedure. All patients are also offered the option of no sedation, light sedation, or deep conscious sedation.

Our office includes 6 examination rooms, a state-of-the-art procedure room, recovery room, lab and 2 consult rooms. We are pleased to offer our patients a comfortable waiting room with standard amenities including free wifi.

Our Pain Specialists are Double Board Certified, with Board Certification in Anesthesia, allowing for your choice of light or full sedation for your in office procedure. All procedures are performed in our office to ensure you have a comfortable and convenient experience.  Our brand new procedure room is equipped with all the latest fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment to assure accurate and precise treatment of your pain.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Gary Thomas

Dr. Gary P. Thomas is a board certified Anesthesiologist with subspecialty training and board certification in Pain Management. Dr. Thomas received his medical degree in 1991 from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He did residency training in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Following his residency, Dr. Thomas completed a fellowship in pain management at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Thomas’ practice is dedicated to pain management utilizing the latest medications, pain relieving therapies, and fluoroscopy guided injections/treatments. He utilizes the latest state of the art traditional medicine and combines this with the proven complimentary/alternative modalities to achieve faster and more complete healing.

Dr. Chaim Mandelbaum

Dr. Chaim Mandelbaum is a board certified Anesthesiologist with subspecialty training and board certification in Pain Management, Dr. Mandelbaum received his medical degree in 1992 from the State University of New York Health Science Center. He did residency training in anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Following his residency, Dr. Mandelbaum completed a fellowship in pain management at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Mandelbaum specializes in innovative techniques in pain management. He incorporates a unique multi-disciplinary approach using both minimally invasive and non-invasive techniques. Dr. Mandelbaum has specialty training in radiofrequency techniques, epidural lysis of adhesions, selective nerve blocks, sympathetic blocks, spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pumps.
